Welcome to the dashboard
Within the MYRIAD-EU project, we have developed a six-step framework for carrying out multi-hazard, multi-sector, and systemic risk analysis. The framework helps users to develop forward-looking disaster risk management plans.
The dashboard is designed to help users to understand and navigate the framework. It contains a set of guidance protocols to carry out each of the six steps, provides examples on how the framework has been implemented in 5 pilot regions within Europe, and examples of tools and methods that can be used to carry out the analysis within each step.

MYRIAD-EU framework for individual,
multi-, and systemic risk analysis and management
Identifying the system at hand, its components and clear system boundaries.
Determining the hazards threatening the system (in terms of single- and multi-hazard scenarios and the system’s exposed and vulnerable elements.
Characterizing the governance landscape, sustainability challenges, desired vision and initial risk management options for the system.
Characterizing the direct risks resulting from physical contact with the single- or multi-hazard.
Defining and characterizing direct risk metrics.
Identifying indirect risk due to interdependencies in the systems.
Defining and characterizing indirect risk metrics.
Defining direct and indirect risk evaluation criteria.
Selecting direct and indirect risks to manage.
Selecting risk management options that account for synergies and asynergies of risk management as well as different time-horizons (short-, middle- and long-term).
