Explore the multi-risk storylines developed by the MYRIAD-EU pilots to view examples of the multi-hazards each region faces and the factors influencing the impacts of multi-hazard events.

Each pilot region has a unique set of geographic, environmental and economic characteristics making them susceptible to the impacts of multi-hazard events across varying scales and economic sectors. The storylines approach has been used by the pilots to explore and characterise the cause-and-effect relationships between risk drivers and impacts within a system.

Future climate implications in the North Sea.

This storyline explores plausible future climate implications in the North Sea considering spatial density, potential hazards and impacts on sectors with the aim of raising awareness and understanding of multi-hazard events and facilitating stakeholder engagement and cross-sector planning.

Storm Vaia 2018 – Vaia 2.0.

This storyline explores the multi-hazard Vaia storm that impacted the region in 2018 and a plausible future storm ’Vaia 2.0’ set in 2073-2074. The storyline was co-created with local policy makers and practitioners to foster discussions with stakeholders, identify key multi- and systemic risks, unfold the complexities of cross-sectoral impacts in the near, mid, and long term, and support the co-development of forward-looking disaster risk management pathways.
